Dr. Lawrence Carlson is originally from Marion, Ohio and is proud to care for patients in the community he calls home. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Akron, where he was actively involved in community service through nursing home volunteering, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Meals on Wheels. Those experiences helped shape his commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

He received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine and completed a rigorous three-year surgical residency at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, a Level I Trauma Center in Toledo. There, he gained extensive training in the full scope of foot and ankle care while serving as Student Education Coordinator and later was selected as Chief Resident.

Dr. Carlson is board qualified with the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS).

He provides care for patients of all ages and treats a wide range of foot and ankle conditions — from routine and preventive care to advanced surgical management. His approach emphasizes clear communication, thoughtful treatment planning, and helping patients return to comfortable, confident mobility.

Outside of the office, Dr. Carlson enjoys spending time with his wife and their two dogs. He loves backpacking, camping, canoeing, and being outdoors whenever possible.

Dr. Carlson looks forward to serving the community and building long-term relationships with his patients and their families.
